How You Learned about Phase 0

Please submit at least one of the following required documentation to complete your application: a CV/resume, technology description, patent, white paper, company capabilities statement, or other documentation that supports you and your team's technical qualifications to participate in the DOE's SBIR/STTR program. We MUST receive this documentation before we can process your application. While only ONE document is required, you may submit more than one type of documentation if so desired.

As an applicant, I understand that my participation in the Phase 0 Assistance Program does not provide me with preferential treatment from the DOE or other advantages over applicants not participating in the Phase 0 Assistance Program. That is, all applications submitted to a DOE SBIR/STTR Phase I Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) are administratively screened without regard to participation in the Phase 0 program to ensure that the application meets the FOA requirements and evaluated on a competitive basis against other applicants within the same technical program area.

Applicant is informed that participation in the Phase 0 Assistance Program requires that the company have much of the required technology expertise already within the team. It is also understood that the applicant is the primary application developer but will do so with Dawnbreaker’s assistance. In addition, the applicant’s technology must be a fit with a topic/subtopic pair defined in the DOE’s Topic Document released on July 11, 2022. If information is revealed at any point during the Phase 0 Assistance Program that applicant does not comply with these requirements, the applicant’s participation in the Phase 0 Program may be terminated..

DOE Phase 0 Program will open on Nov 7.

If you are planning to participate in the FY23 Release 2 DOE Phase 0 program and are not in SAM, you should start the registration process NOW.
